There is art in everything we touch and see, especially in everyday objects that upon extreme examination, spark a sense of vitality and wonder. They are parts, pieces of a world we are familiar with, yet each of these is a world unto itself. These objects have their own story to tell, perhaps many. My multimedia art takes everyday objects and presents them to the viewer from a strikingly different perspective. I try to discover the mystery inherent in a particular object. Then I tease it out with just the right camera angle, reveal it. How can I make that particular ordinary object extraordinary? Certain objects remind me of landscapes or microscopic life, while others have a purely abstract feel to them. Since I am a multimedia artist, I work in more than just one medium. Sometimes, I combine mediums,( ex . Latex, acrylic, glue and oil paint) to create a different more tactile effect. At the present time, I am producing photography, mixed media and digital painting. Many times, my paintings are heavily influenced by my digital photographs, as I constantly use them for references. The look and feel of the abstract paintings and photography will change periodically, as each everyday object has it's own unique characteristics.
